NCAA Div III 255 teams, 8,747 athletes, no athletic scholarships
NAIA 36 teams, 958 athletes, no athletic scholarships
NJCAA 31 teams, 613 athletes, limit 20 athletic scholarships per team
Women's NCAA College Lacrosse
NCAA Div I 120 teams, 3792 athletes, limit 12 athletic scholarships per team
NCAA Div II 115 teams, 2,703 athletes, limit 9.9 athletic scholarships per team
NCAA Div III 301 teams, 6,381 athletes, no athletic scholarships
NAIA 40 teams, 784 athletes, no athletic scholarships
NJCAA 17 teams, 248 athletes, limit 20 athletic scholarships per team
There are also over 200 "Varsity Like" Club Lacrosse Teams for both men and women college students. Teams travel to other schools and generate their own funding. There is a national championship tournament each year. Teams are not part of the NCAA but are great opportunities to continuing playing lacrosse for those that are not able to play in the NCAA or want to play lacrosse in a club type experience.
